Green and gold kiwis
Green and gold kiwifruit are now both in season! The gold kiwifruit have tasty melon, peach and citrus flavours. Be quick if you want to try them, as their season ends this month. The tangy green kiwifruit are available until December. Both varieties are rich in vitamin C, and contain other nutrients like fibre, potassium and antioxidants. Simply cut the fruit in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, to enjoy as a yummy and nutritious snack. You can also try adding kiwifruit into a smoothie, dice into a salsa, use in baking, desserts or even freeze for a spring-inspired sorbet.
Try baby caps
There are two kinds of tasty baby capsicums that can add great flavour to any dish. Tri-coloured Vine Sweet Minicaps baby capsicums come in a range of red, orange and yellow shades in one pack. These cute capsicums have a similar shape to chillies, only they’re not spicy! There’s also the Il Bello Rosso baby red capsicums. These are great for stuffing as the membrane and seeds come away easily and once filled, the shells will sit firmly on a plate.
