Step 1 Preheat oven to 200ºC. Lightly grease a deep casserole dish. Set aside.
Step 2 Melt spread in saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and stir for 1 minute until smooth. Remove from heat. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Return to heat, stirring, until sauce comes to the boil. Reduce heat to low.
Step 3 Add parmesan and Tabasco, if using. Add tasty cheese, reserving a small amount. Stir until cheeses have melted.
Step 4 In prepared dish, arrange half the rice, tuna, and cheese sauce in a layer. Repeat, using remaining half of ingredients.
Step 5 Make Crunchy topping: Melt spread in small saucepan. Mix in crushed cornflakes. Sprinkle topping over dish. Top with remaining cheese. Bake for 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve with a large green salad.
