Full ingredients list:
- cooking oil spray
- 1 1/4 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- icing sugar, to dust

Instructions and steps:
Step 1 Preheat oven to 180°C. Spray a 20cm x 20cm cake pan lightly with oil. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix well, using a fork. Add vanilla, oil, vinegar and 1 cup warm water. Mix very well, scraping down the sides.
Step 2 Pour into pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool in tin for 1 hour and dust with icing sugar before serving.
