Full ingredients list:
- 250g dried pasta spirals
- 500g lean beef mince
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 cup dried panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 cups reduced-salt tomato pasta sauce
- 400g can no-added-salt diced tomatoes
- 8 cups green salad, to serve

Instructions and steps:
Step 1 Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling water following packet instructions. Drain, return to pan and cover to keep warm.
Step 2 Meanwhile, combine mince, garlic, breadcrumbs, mixed herbs and egg in a bowl. Form into balls using 1 tablespoon of mixture for each meatball. Spray a large frying pan with oil and place over medium-high heat. Cook meatballs in batches, turning, for 3-4 minutes, or until browned.
Step 3 Meanwhile, bring tomato pasta sauce and diced tomatoes to the boil in a medium saucepan. Add browned meatballs to saucepan. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until meatballs are cooked. Serve meatballs with pasta and salad.
Panko breadcrumbs are available from most supermarkets or Asian stores.
Serve meatballs topped with grated parmesan.
