Full ingredients list:
- 7.5cm piece ginger, peeled, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- juice of 1 large orange
- 3 tablespoons reduced-salt soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons mirin

Instructions and steps:
Step 1 Combine all ingredients with 4–5 tablespoons water in a large wide bowl. Add meat of your choice; leave to marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
Step 2 Set a large non-stick pan over high heat and cook meat until evenly seared on both sides, or until done to your liking. Leave meat to rest, then slice and serve.
NOTE: Nutrition information based on approx. 2 tablespoons marinade per serve.
Make it gluten free: Use gluten-free soy sauce.
